Days change. A shift gets moved, a child gets sick, a storm closes the road. This page explains how we handle appointment changes in Moncton, what it costs you (in almost every case, nothing) and the two situations where it does. It forms part of our terms of service.
Call us. A phone call reaches the person holding the schedule, which a message sent through a form does not — especially on the morning of the visit. We answer seven days a week between 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM.
As much as you can give us, and no fixed minimum. There is no charge for cancelling or moving an appointment at any point before the technician sets off for your address.
We book same-day work, so we cannot sensibly demand 24 hours’ notice from you when we ask you to accept two hours’ notice from us. An hour’s warning still lets us give the slot to someone else who is waiting, and that is the whole reason the notice matters.
When the technician arrives and gets no answer, he calls the number on the booking and waits 15 minutes. If we still cannot reach you, the visit is recorded as missed and he moves on to the next job so that customer is not held up.
We do not charge for a first missed appointment. Call us and we will rebook. If it happens repeatedly, we may ask you to confirm by phone on the morning of the visit before we allocate a slot.
You are never committed by hearing a price. If the technician has diagnosed the fault and you decide not to go ahead, only the call-out fee applies and nothing further is owed. That is the same fee you were told about before booking, and it is dropped from the bill whenever a repair does proceed.
If you approve a repair and then change your mind before we have started, there is no charge beyond the call-out fee — unless a part has already been ordered for you, which is covered next.
Some parts are not stocked and have to be ordered for your specific machine. Before we place that order we will tell you the price and whether the supplier accepts returns.
If you cancel after a non-returnable part has been ordered, that part is charged to you and it is yours to keep. Where the supplier does accept returns, any restocking fee they charge is passed on at cost and nothing is added to it. This is the only situation in which cancelling costs more than the call-out fee.
A job before yours can run long, a van can break down, a technician can be off sick. If your visit has to move we call you as soon as we know rather than letting the window pass in silence, and we offer you the first slot that suits you.
If we cancel after a call-out fee has been paid and the visit does not happen at all, the fee is refunded.
Winter here does what it does. If conditions make the drive unsafe or the roads are closed, we call and rebook at no charge to you, and neither side is treated as having cancelled.
To cancel, move a visit or ask about anything on this page, call us. If we change this policy the date at the top of the page changes, and the version that applies to your booking is the one published when you booked.
